Musical Spiv …

Hot on the heels of his latest release on Pop Sweatshop Records, Don’tcha Know, pure popper Spiv, a.k.a. Chris Barber (pictured), and his band hit the Riff Raff Rock Bar, situated at 128 West Second St. in downtown Chico. Barber’s best material suggests the brainy pop-rock masterpieces of British band XTC. Additionally, each of Barber’s fellow band members also sports the first name of “Chris,” which must make for moments of considerable confusion! Also on the bill: Beer Zone and Vexers. Bound to be a cover charge, so arrive prepared.
