Lodging

Sleep tight

So you’ve made it safely to Chico, you’ve visited friends and family or explored the park and shopped downtown. Worn out from all the fun and excitement, you’re ready to crash, and you hope you can convince your friends to let you sleep on their couch just one more night. If that scenario isn’t in the cards, you’ll need a place to stay. Lucky for you, Chico offers a staggering array of options. Chose from affordable motels, character and history-filled inns and B&Bs, or go all out with swanky hotels. Fit for any taste or budget, Chico’s lodging is as varied as the people who call Chico home. Local hospitality will follow you wherever you go.For visitors on the go, many motels are easily accessible just off Highway 99. If you’d rather be in the heart of Chico or near the university, stay in one of the six hotels downtown. The recently renovated Hotel Diamond is now open, and it’s as downtown as can be. To get away from it all, chose a bed and breakfast tucked farther away in a Chico neighborhood.

Reservations are always a good idea in Chico, especially over the weekend and for major holidays. Chico has been known to draw crowds on Memorial and Labor Day, Halloween, and of course, for local graduations in May.
