Bob Mulholland will work from home now that he’s a contract worker for the Democratic Party

Looks like we’ll be seeing more of Bob Mulholland around Chico from now on. Mulholland, longtime strategist for the California Democratic Party, is no longer working for the party as a direct employee as before, but as an independent contractor.

“The good news,” offered Mulholland recently, “is that I’m working from home, so no more commuting [to Sacramento]. Basically I’ll be doing the same job as before, but now I can work from home.” Mulholland is married to county Supervisor Jane Dolan.

According to a recent press release, Mulholland will be “focusing exclusively on strengthening the party’s grassroots efforts in the U.S. Senate race.”

“And not being in the [Sacramento] office means less distraction from other issues,” Mulholland said.

“We have 166 partisan elections this year,” he said. “Nine are statewide—I will focus on those. My official focus is on the Senate races. Anyone who follows the U.S. Senate races knows that they are critical this year.”
