Hey, big spenders!

Shoppers turned out in force after Thanksgiving, spending an average of $360.15 apiece last weekend, according to a National Retail Federation survey. About half the holiday madness took place at discounters (down from 60 percent last year; department stores and toy and clothing shops also had nice turnouts. Here are more numbers associated with what has been dubbed Black Friday weekend:

140 million: The number of shoppers who hit the stores over the long weekend.

47.9: Percentage of shoppers who were women.

17.3: Percentage of men who got to their first store by 4 a.m. Friday.

$420.37: The average male shopper’s weekend bill.

$304.30: How much the average female consumer spent.

41.4: Percentage of purchases that included clothing.

35.6: Percentage of holiday shopping the average American has finished.

60.7 million: The number of consumers who planned to buy something online on Cyber Monday (the Monday after Black Friday).

61 million: The number of people who plan to shop online from work during the holiday season.

83: Percentage of Web sites that plan to offer free shipping sometime during the season.
