There remain but a handful of tents and campgrounds along the American River Parkway, near Highway 160 and Northgate Boulevard, after authorities issued move-out notices last week. Those who stayed behind, including 2-year-old pit mix Brody and his owner, insist that county sheriffs will return soon—“They always do,” he said—and campers will move tents another some-odd yards down the river. Again.
