When you’re sitting on your couch watching reruns of The X Files or Star Trek: The Next Generation, do you ever pause to wonder if there are other intelligent beings like yourself in the universe? If you boldly go to the Halloween party hosted by Fantastic Frontiers and the Sacramento Anime club, you’ll find others of your kind. All fans of science fiction and fantasy in Sacramento and El Dorado counties are invited to meet, mingle, make out, argue over favorite episodes, exchange fan fiction and gorge themselves on candy. The party is on course for Saturday at 7 p.m. at a private residence in Placerville. To gain admission, you must be at least 21 years old, wearing a costume and bearing Halloween-themed treats.
