Sacramento Ballet dancers know how to make it steamy. They’ll open their studio doors for a series of four sizzling nights of dance, featuring excerpts from their upcoming productions of Nine Sinatra Songs, Frankie & Johnny and Second Before the Ground. It’s up close and personal—with no distant balcony seating, or rows and rows of tall people with big heads in the front. Plus, these dancers can do more than just contort their bodies in midair. They’ll also offer free Argentine tango lessons. Audience members can tango with a Sac Ballet dancer or get down with a partner. Suggestion: Bring a significant other and consider it an aphrodisiac for the upcoming Valentine’s holiday. Trust us. You’ll thank us later.

Red Hot Valentine Nights will be Friday, January 29 and February 5 at 6 p.m.; and Saturday, January 30 and February 6 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20. Sacramento Ballet Studios, 1631 K Street; (916) 552-5800, ext. 2; www.sacballet.org.
