Memory is a complex thing: It seems so certain sometimes, solid, like an unmoving boulder, but more often, it's fluid like a river, sweeping new pieces of information with its flow while leaving behind old ones. The group show that artist Justin Marsh organized for Axis Gallery this month, The Memory Pore, deals with the act of remembering. The exhibition features Californian artists Benjamin Hunt—who works as an exhibition preparator at the Crocker Art Museum, just as Marsh does—Kevin Frances, Richard Karson, Matthew Taylor and Marsh's own work, too. Don't forget to check it out.
