Too cool for (art) school

August 9, Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School

Free yourself from the commodification of art via the Sacramento branch of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, a night of drawing and “boozy conviviality.” Founded in 2005 by Brooklyn artists, the local chapter is run by Jay Siren, cabaret aficionado and director of Sizzlehouse Productions. Expect sultry live models and performances, games and prize giveaways. Dr. Sketchy's is open to artists at all levels. 5 p.m., Sunday, August 9, $8-$10.
