Loft life for Middle Class Rut?

After flirting with major labels in Los Angles, Zack Lopez and Sean Stockham returned to Sacramento, locked themselves in their childhood studio, and discovered that duo and power rock were compatible terms. Together as Middle Class Rut, they’ve recorded multiple EPs and finally—after years of touring with the likes of Alice in Chains, And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, the Bronx, and Social Distortion—they’re releasing a full-length album: No Name No Color. A stylistic combination of Jane’s Addiction, Filter and late ’90s punk, MC Rut is both blunt and melodic, but ultimately an aggressive and angsty force with little flare. Supporting MC Rut are long-standing punk locals Another Damn Disappointment and psych-rock quintet Kaleiding Design. Lite Brite, who perform contemporary originals that sound lifted straight from the ’70s, will open the show, big hair and all.
