Former San Francisco indie quartet Deerhoof, of the iconic Kill Rock Stars label, is known for its snarling guitar riffs and bangin’ rock beats that go smooth over frontwoman Satomi Matsuzaki’s spastic vocals. You can’t really understand a word of said vocals, but it ignites that inner spark that keeps you moving “from the side to side up down.” Unfortunately, Nervous Cop is no longer on the bill because of a gnarly foot injury that has benched local drummer Zach Hill.
