Snubnose: As Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley used to say, where’s the dress?

Snubnose: As Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley used to say, where’s the dress?

Last year, Snubnose paid a visit to Old Ironsides to perform in its glam rock show and blew the crowd away. Especially lead singer L. Ron Drunkard, who came scantily clad in a red slinky dress, long curls, a cowboy hat and kickers to boot. His cohorts—Dr. Ed Slack and Magnificent El Cajon—were just as crazed in their get-ups. Men in women’s clothing will always do it for me. But a tall man who wears cowboy boots, spreads his legs for the crowd and does the splits, only to come back up again, is the man I want to see from the front row. Add all these components to Snubnose’s pissed-off, pissed-on lyrics and I think we’ve got a show. The show’s Monday, August 20, at Capitol Garage, 1427 L St., when Snubnose plays with Split Lip Rayfield and Las Pesadillas. The show starts 8 p.m.; tickets are $7. Call 444-3633 for more information.
