A shadowy mastermind (John Travolta) searching for billions of DEA dollars secreted in an undercover slush fund may or may not be a double agent. He hires convicted hacker Stanley (Hugh Jackman), who has lost custody of his daughter even though his former wife is an alcoholic and her new husband is a pornography king, to locate the loot. The new wrinkle in hacker films here is that Stanley must break into a protected government Internet site in a timely fashion while getting a blow job. Halle Berry co-stars as a Girl Friday who reads a book topless and there’s also a Matrix-inspired bomb explosion, an exciting tumble down a cliff and a wild car chase amongst the muddled, loud and pointless mayhem.
