Sammies program

SN&R’s Sacramento Area Music Awards (a.k.a. the SAMMIES) is now in its 24th year, celebrating the best in local music. Over the years, the SAMMIES have helped launch the visibility of nationally known artists (think Cake, Deftones and Tesla, etc) but just as importantly they’ve served to recognize up-and-coming musicians, deejays and producers. This year SN&R tallied nearly 30,000 votes cast in 29 categories and we extend a big “thank you” to everyone who took the time to log on and cast a ballot for their favorite act.

And a big congratulations, of course, to all the nominees.

Winners will be announced Thursday, March 24, at Ace of Spades. Be sure to get your tickets in advance—see you there!
