Sacramento city, county approve pay raises for affordable housing agency

7.5-percent salary hike will phase in over five years

Employees of the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency will see their salaries increase 7.5 percent by 2020, according to a collective bargaining agreement slated for approval on Tuesday.

It’s estimated that the five-year agreement will cost the city and county of Sacramento an additional $1.8 million. The Sacramento City Council and Sacramento County Board of Supervisors were both scheduled to approve the agreement on March 22.

The SHRA is charged with addressing affordable housing and community revitalization needs in low income communities and older commercial corridors located in the city and unincorporated county of Sacramento.
