Resident Evil: Apocalypse

This lamely scripted sequel based on the popular video game begins where the tense, gruesome original ended but is quite inferior. Once again, the underground genetic-alteration think tank and laboratory run by the outlaw Umbrella Corporation appears to have quite a lawsuit in its future. The previously unleashed experimental virus that turned its workers into flesh-munching zombies surfaces in Raccoon City, where the only escape route is sealed off by the government. Former heroic commando Alice (The Fifth Element’s Milla Jovovich) returns from being subjected to biogenic experimentation with superhuman strengths and senses to eliminate the virus with a little help from her friends.
