Raw meat with Neil Hamburger
Watching a Neil Hamburger stand-up routine is a lesson in how to be awkward. The comedian also known as Gregg Turkington drops jokes in a painfully stilted manner, and yet despite the weird pacing and twitchy body language, it all works in an Andy Kaufman-esque fashion. In other words, you're probably going to be really uncomfortable sitting through one of his sets, but you won't want to leave for fear of missing something really funny. Or really embarrassing. Whatever the case, Hamburger performs on Friday, November 15, at the Sacramento Comedy Spot. Showtime is 9 p.m., and tickets are $12. 1050 20th Street, Suite 130; (916) 444-3137; http://saccomedyspot.com/neil-hamburger.
