¿Que es un Django?

Yep, it’s Joe Craven.

Yep, it’s Joe Craven.

It’s hard to predict what musical terrain that multi-instrumentalist and musical omnivore Joe Craven will be exploring at any given time, but his new CD, Django Latino, offers a couple of clues in its title. You can catch Craven live in a quintet context this Saturday, October 9, at the Palms, 13 Main Street in friendly Winters. The CD release show commences at 8 p.m. and the cover is $15. If outdoor weekend fests are more your thing, and with the weather changing there will be less of them, you can hit Sutter Street in Folsom on Saturday, October 9, for a street fair from 5 to 10 p.m. There’s music involved—longtime Texas-blues rocker Edgar Winter, 9-year-old blues-guitar phenomenon Shane Tiller, an Eagles cover band called Hotel California and a Santana tribute band called Caravanserai. It isn’t free; admission is $15. For information, log on to www.folsomlive.com
