This play, both written and directed by local writer David-Matthew Barnes, is a cross between Southern-fried comedy á la Steel Magnolias and a bit of melodrama in the style of a Lifetime cable movie. There’s a hardworking mama (Paula Campanella), her two different-as-night-and-day daughters (Bethany Hidden-McCauley and Robyn Colburn), their love interests (Ernesto Bustos and Joseph Ramos) and Mama’s hormonal, gossipy best friend (Susan Madden). Despite some funny bits, including Hidden-McCauley’s frenzied dancing, the show takes a pretty dark turn. F, Sa 8pm; Su 2pm. Through 4/3; no show on F 3/26. $15-$17.
