The smirkishly delightful crew at the Pink Toupee Collective, a local group of artists, musicians and actors who collaborate for thought-provoking weirdness, have a one-night extravaganza planned to celebrate Halloween. The group is presenting Halloween Eve: A Festival of Music and Merriment at the Ooley Theatre, a small but comfortable venue at 2007 28th Street. They’re not taking reservations; it’s strictly first-come, first-seated, so arrive early. And it’s cheaper if you wear a costume (not to mention more fun!). The doors open at 7:30 p.m. for an 8 p.m. show; tickets are $7 for street clothes and $5 for costumed revelers. Expect intellectual madness and very smart jokes.
