Not an Airplane, Thurs, May 14th

Singer-songwriter Nick Shattell will be taking his latest incarnation of Not an Airplane on the road this month and will kick off its West Coast journey with an intimate show in Davis. After a few lineup changes over the years, Shattell sounds more confident than ever, and it comes through in songs off Not an Airplane’s new EP, Everything Is Not Loveable. While still emphasizing his golden voice and self-reflective lyrics, don’t be surprised to hear some funk-inspired interludes or some Blonde Redhead-esque melodies, all on Sophia’s red-lit balcony.
