Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Section 504 Occupation, when 150 disability rights activists staged a 26-day sit in at the San Francisco Federal Building in 1977, California Museum’s new exhibit remembers the milestones that led to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The law prohibits discrimination against disabled people from employment, transportation, public accommodation, communications and governmental activities. 1020 O Street, www.californiamuseum.org.
