How ’bout them lemons?

Lychee basil lemonade, Wheel Lemonade

Wheel Lemonade owner Robert Cao’s motto is simple: “Wheel Lemonade. Real Ingredients.” He’s not kidding. His lychee basil lemonade ($5) starts with fresh-picked lychee sourced from local farmers and his own, homegrown basil leaves. Mixed into Wheel’s base lemonade, you get a sweet-and-tart drink, perfect for mixing into cocktails. But first, you’ll have to find him—Wheel regularly sets up at the Midtown Farmers Market and the North Natomas Farmers Market, and, with about 20 different flavors, each week’s selection is different. You may get lucky and find the mint ginger, blueberry lavender or guava strawberry flavors.
