Gold in them Cats

Sacto really values Sacramento River Cats baseball—no, seriously. They're worth a fortune.

Last week, Forbes Magazine named the Cats minor-league baseball's most valuable team, with a total value of $38 million and revenue of $14 million.

The Cats, owned by local millionaire Susan Savage, have kept their claws on top with some of the most expensive ticket prices in the minors. They also take in a cool $750,000 annually for naming their stadium “Raley Field.”
