Fri, Sept 25, Light Rail

Luigi’s Fun Garden, 8:30 p.m., $5

Writing a song about Sacramento can go so many ways. You can be fuming, like, “Screw you Sac, why you gotta jack up everything good that comes your way?” Or “I’m not really from Sac; I live in Midtown.” And even, “Actually, I’m moving to Austin next year.” But it’s the sincerity and unpretentiousness of Light Rail’s single “Sacramento” that’s probably one of the better angles: gracious, nostalgic, emotionally honest. And I’m sure they’ll play the song this Friday, with Zuhg headlining and Nice Monster opening. 1050 20th Street, www.myspace.com/lightrailmusic.
