Eye of the Beholder

Rated 2.0 An intelligence agent code-named The Eye (Star Wars: Phantom Menace’s Ewan McGregor) shadows the son of a British government official and witnesses his bloody murder by a lover/blackmailer (Ashley Judd). He becomes obsessed with the killer and—with visions of his estranged young daughter haunting his every move—follows her across America as she changes wigs and litters her path with dead males. This murky, messy, surreal thriller about damaged souls, twisted emotions and two people who share similar father-sibling psychoses is visually alluring but punctured by ludicrous character and plot points. Written and directed by Stephan Elliott (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert). Based on Marc Behm’s noir novel.
