Artists Jeffrey DeVore and Cherie Hacker ventured off for a monthlong tour of Europe in October 2012. DeVore spent some of his formative years on that side of the Atlantic, and Hacker’s family tree traces back to countries on the continent, so away they went to explore. They documented their trip along the way, painting grand cityscapes from the Renaissance era on found objects, such as pieces of cardboard and tomato containers. The artistic results of their travels can be seen in Our Winding Roots at E Street Gallery during the month of March.
