Eight Gigs: Bad Cop/Bad Cop

Sun., June 19, 7 p.m., Blue Lamp, $10

There’s a song on Bad Cop/Bad Cop’s debut record Not Sorry called “Anti Love Song.” That’s exactly what it is. The song is supremely catchy pop-punk, with three-part harmonies, aggression and a lot of sneer. Other songs cover similar territory: “Nightmare” and “Rip You To Shreds” are prime examples. This four-piece has its sound down pat. For anyone who loves snotty ’90s-inspired, polished pop-punk, every song is a winner. That debut record was released in 2015 on Fat Wreck Chords (no shock there), and it has another scheduled for 2017. 1400 Alhambra Boulevard, www.badcopbadcopband.com.
