It doesn’t get any better than this trimmed-down version of Dostoevsky’s epic novel, staged with three actors in a 90-minute rampage of ideas and emotions. As Raskolnikov, Brian Rife is riveting. He’s assisted by Patrick Murphy, who plays all the other male roles, including Inspector Porfiry, and Kelley Ogden as the female characters, particularly the prostitute, Sonia.
