The legal age to gamble in California is 18 years or older. However, most American Indian casinos serve alcohol and have set the minimum age to enter at 21 to comply with the minimum age required by their alcohol license. Some casinos allow people under 21 to enter unrestricted areas in their building, such as restaurants and gift shops. However, they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Other casinos enforce the 21-year-old age limit throughout their facility. The age limit for card casinos is 21 years or older. It’s wise to call before bringing an underage person into any gaming facility.
