Behind Enemy Lines

Rated 3.0 Owen Wilson, with his cartoon-like crooked nose, slight stoner drawl and subversive geniality, is a sort of modern Everyman on the run in this preposterous, brisk war movie that spews blatant escapism. Navy jet navigator Lieutenant Chris Burnett (Wilson) is shot down while on a recon mission over the Balkans, survives the crash, must evade a horde of soldiers and an assassin tracker (15 Minutes wacko Vladimir Maskov) commanded by a rogue military leader (Olek Krupa). This flawed, often-breathless manhunt about the confusion, complexities and horrors of current armed and ethnic conflicts includes the most exhilarating aerial combat sequence since Rebel force X-Wings attacked the Death Star in Star Wars.
