Eric Bradner shares the stories of African-American pioneers. He’ll explore some of the families that made the Sacramento area their home amid the turmoil of California’s entrance into the Union. In a time when slavery was permitted throughout most of the country and bigotry was alive and well, these people made their mark on the region.
