Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, a group that makes wishes come true for women and men with terminal breast cancer, has collected 12,000 wedding dresses from designers, stores and individuals across the country. The Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide Tour of Gowns stops in Sacramento this weekend to let local brides-to-be purchase these gowns. The dresses, some of which are worth up to $4,000, will be on sale for $49 to $599. All of the money from the sale goes toward making a dying person’s wish come true—be it a second honeymoon, a family reunion or a vacation with the kids. Brides can fund someone else’s special day while planning for their own at this two-day sale on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. This event is at the Doubletree Hotel, located at 2001 Point West Way. If you have a wedding dress to donate or know a breast-cancer patient who would like to make a wish request, visit www.makingmemories.org.
