Dust off those paddles and break out the fly rods. Kayakers, white-water boaters and fly-fishing enthusiasts will migrate to the California Rivers Festival on Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sacramento Waldorf School, 3750 Bannister Road in Fair Oaks. The free event will feature outdoor-gear vendors, safe-boating seminars, movies, music and food. But it’s not all about partying on riverfront property. Attendees will learn about the American River as a source for clean drinking water and how to become involved in river conservation.
