Issue: October 12, 2017

Hi everybody!
Welcome to this week's Reno News & Review. Our big story this week is an
insider recounting her personal experiences inside the Washoe County
jail. The story takes the form of profiles of some of the women she met
inside. It's a different perspective on a widely covered subject. It's
funny, sad and informative all at once.
Also in this week's issue we have movie critic Bob Grimm's take on the
new Blade Runner movie, food critic Todd South's reaction to a
downtown Korean restaurant, and some folks might be relieved to hear
that columnist Bruce Van Dyke finally took a week off from tackling
Trump in order to memorialize the great Tom Petty.
As always, be sure to pick up a newspaper copy of the paper for
exclusive columns, cartoons and ink smells.
Thanks for reading! If it weren't for you, we'd just be funny, sad and
uninformative.
