Nevada’s deal

In Pennsylvania, the Allentown Morning Call reported on July 26 that in fiscal year 2009 Nevada collected $831 million from its 260 full-fledged casinos, and Pennsylvania collected $878 million from its nine limited casinos.

The Nevada casinos are taxed at 8 percent while Pennsylvania’s slot machine casinos are taxed at 55 percent. Pennsylvania has just added table games, and they will be taxed at 16 percent.
