A tornado of Dorothys chat with their scarecrow coach outside the Reno Events Center before the start of the opening ceremonies for the triple crown sports 10U/12U fastpitch softball World Series last week. Lake Street between Fourth and Fifth streets was jammed with more than a thousand players, most of them in costume. Most states west of the Mississippi were represented at the tourney.
