Wine & Blues at the Bridge

Spend an afternoon sampling some fine wines and listening to some great blues out at Woodson Bridge this Saturday, when the Midnight Blues Society and the Corning Chamber of Commerce present their ninth annual “Wine & Blues at the Bridge” event. Playing at 6:20 p.m., winner of the SAMMY award for “most outstanding blues band” in Sacramento, The Hucklebucks (pictured) headline. Also on the bill: at 5 p.m., enjoy legendary blues from Lenny Blue & His Blues Amigos; at 3:40 p.m., the amazing guitar playing and showmanship of Slam Buckra & His Groove Palookas; 2:20 p.m., stomp to the classic down home blues of Barry Herl’s Blues Progression; and at 1 p.m., kicking the whole shindig off, the sweet and tangy sounds of the Acoustic Blues Trio. Food and craft vendors, children’s area, raffles and more will be available. Gates open at noon. No ice chests, coolers, glass containers or pets (except seeing-eye dogs) allowed.
