Chico is one of America’s 10 best cities for working college students, according to a report from financial tech site SmartAsset. To produce the list, researchers accounted for job market data and tuition rates at 227 U.S. cities that are home to a four-year college or university. The report notes that California now has the highest state minimum wage in the country at $10 an hour and the relative affordability of attending Chico State (annual tuition is $7,026). “That, and a cost of living in Chico that is generally lower than the rest of the state, make the school fairly affordable to attend,” the report reads. Here are the top 10.
