Still time to register

The June primary is fast approaching

For those who have put off registering to vote, you have two more weeks before your time is up and you miss yet another election. The California June primary is quick approaching, and it’s your opportunity to choose the candidates from your party you want named on the general-election ballot.

The primary is a big deal, with candidate positions ranging from governor to state senator to district attorney. There are also a number of propositions on the ballot.

So, scoot on over to the post office, DMV, public library or City Clerk’s Office to pick up a registration form. If that’s too much effort, log onto to download it. Completed forms must be received by the Butte County Elections Office by May 24.
