Community Collaborative for Youth (www.ccychico.org) is a coalition of six programs serving young people in the North State.

Every Youth Included uses creativity, interactive games, and adventure outings for self-discovery, to build resiliency, and promote respect for other people. The emphasis is on fun and friends, and the young facilitators are true role models.

Beyond Violence Alliance is a community-based violence prevention organization. Workshops explore the roots of violence and the roots of peace in our culture and ourselves, looking at causes like stereotyping, prejudice, and economic, racial, and gender power imbalances.

Theatre on the Inside-Out uses theatre as a tool to encourage youth to creatively express the struggles and challenges in their lives. Currently, TOIO is working with Oroville middle- and high-schoolers to develop drama pieces about bullying, which are then presented to elementary school kids.

Open Arts offers programs run by top-notch artists using both traditional and untraditional art concepts, to inspire self-reflection, deeper understanding and the pure enjoyment of the creative process.

SERV (Stopping the Existence of Relationship Violence) is a safe drop-in center for youth in downtown Chico that promotes healthy relationships through outreach, activities and services. It’s also a great referral and resource center that connects youth with various support services.

Stonewall Alliance Youth supports lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and questioning teens and offers safe opportunities for social gathering, discussion and community.
