Retired Chico State art instructor and nationally recognized painter Sal Casa unveils his latest show, Recent Paintings, which consists of just that. Casa has shown pieces in many exhibitions across the country and in Mexico. His painting Studio Wall won the American Watercolor Society’s Gold Medal of Honor last year. This show runs from Friday, May 11, through Friday, May 25. Gallery hours: 12:30-5:30pm, Tuesdays-Saturdays. 1078 Gallery, 738 West Fifth St. Information: 343-1973.
