In anticipation of emergency

Annual membership program now available for ambulance services

Locals concerned about the potential cost of calling an ambulance can now enroll in a cost-saving membership program.

The average cost of transport in a ground ambulance in Butte County is $3,000, while annual individual or family membership plans—which provide medically necessary ambulance transportation for no or lower cost—are both available for $100, according to a Butte County EMS press release. The family plan covers the primary member, the member’s spouse or domestic partner, and other family members listed on the same income-tax return.

The membership program covers ambulance services provided by Butte County EMS, Willows Ambulance and Colusa Ambulance.
