Crime down in Chico
Overall crime rate down in 2011
The Chico Police Department released statistics last week that indicate 2011 was a little brighter than 2010 when it came to crimes in Chico. Crimes against both persons and property were down, although auto theft, robbery and homicide numbers increased. In fact, 2011 saw the highest number of homicides—five—in the past decade.
