Chico350.org delivers message to global rally

Susan Tchudi represents for Chico at the Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice march last Saturday (Sept. 8) in San Francisco. She was among a contingent of more than 50 locals. Organizers estimated attendance at 30,000—among a quarter-million who participated in more than 900 actions held concurrently in 95 countries across seven continents. Their protests, ahead of California Gov. Jerry Brown’s global climate summit in San Francisco this week (Sept. 12-14), pushed for ending fossil-fuel dependence and for economic equity. (See “On the march,” Greenways, Aug. 30.)
