BHS has new top dog

Katrina Davis-Woodcox named Butte Humane Society’s executive director

The Butte Humane Society has announced that Katrina Davis-Woodcox has been named executive director of the local animal-welfare nonprofit, following the resignation of Chuck Tourtillott, who is “pursuing other opportunities.”

Davis-Woodcox (pictured) is a familiar face in the local nonprofit realm. She served as the executive director of the Downtown Chico Business Association for 12 years, and joined BHS, as its development director, just over a year ago.

“BHS has been providing humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals for 104 years,” Davis-Woodcox said in a press release. “With plans in progress to build a new BHS facility and campus in the next few years, it is an honor to be a part of something that will ensure our legacy for the next 100 years.”
