Dine Downtown, right now

Dine Downtown is happening right now—as in really right now. From January 9, through January 18, many of the best restaurants in Sacramento will be offering special three-course menus (soup or salad, entree, dessert) for only $30 per person. In many cases, multiple options will be available for each course, so there is no reason to be concerned about being locked into a single menu or suffering due to various diet restrictions. If you’ve been looking for a chance to sample a variety of foods from the region’s top-tier restaurants, this really is the best time to do it. Courses generally lean toward being local and seasonal, like at Restaurant Thir13en, where you can try local toy-box beets with pistachio-crusted goat cheese, arugula, blood oranges, shaved fennel and golden balsamic vinaigrette. Many restaurants may also offer a wine pairing option as well for an extra charge.

Not only is this a great chance to eat well on a budget, it’s also a noble way for you to get out there and support some of Sac’s best local eateries. More information on Dine Downtown, as well as a list of participating restaurants and their menus, can be found at http://downtownsac.org/events/dine-downtown.
