Measure A on the brain

Seriously, though. In this week's feature story, Tom Gascoyne breaks down both sides, pro and con, on the Measure A debate. But look a little further if you want more on the ballot measure to move local elections to June: CN&R Editor Robert Speer writes about it in his column, From This Corner; Anthony Peyton Porter weighs in in From the Edge; there's an editorial on the subject and several letters to the editor as well. If you didn't know what it was, you will after reading this week's paper!

In other news: Yes, we did find time to cover some other stuff too. I had the pleasure of attending the Butte County Board of Supes meeting this week--the final one discussing the medical-marijuana-cultivation ordinance. Christine LaPado checks in on Chico's happening Mexican-music scene, Arts Devo searches for a lost shirt and a 19-year-old shares her experience with chronic Lyme disease.

Somehow, amid all the thunderstorms, Memorial Day sneaked up on us. Enjoy it!
