We take the prize

Welcome to this week’s Reno News & Review.

Nevada Press Association awards were given out Saturday night in Winnemucca in an atmosphere reminiscent of the Academy Awards’ tuxedos, formal gowns, champagne and caviar. I say reminiscent because … well … you’ve probably seen Nevada journalists before, and a look at us will remind you of how far we are from Hollywood. And that makes me proud. At any rate, I don’t have room to print all the awards that everyone won, but these are our awards in Class V (weeklies over 25,000 circulation). I couldn’t find a complete list on the NPA’s website, but it will be there eventually.
