Reno’s United Blood Services reported that their blood center in Las Vegas did stay ahead of the need after the weekend tragedy, and urged donors to continue giving as a regular thing. “In any situation where blood transfusions are needed, it’s the blood already on the shelf that saves lives,” said a statement handed out to donors. Flags outside the building were at half-staff.
